"Channels Volume 1" is the first entry in a series of records where we explore different musical styles and genres. For Volume 1, we chose the style of instrumental "surf" rock. Driven by melodic guitar lines and loads of reverb, surf rock is a style of music we have been playing for years in our live shows. Instead of proceeding with covers, we composed all of these tracks from scratch in December 2022. This recording is entirely self-produced (for better or worse) using Kenny's mobile recording rig and mixed and mastered by Kenny in January 2023. We love this music and are excited to share it with you!!

Chapter 1 of Wanted Man. This collection of songs is the first we have written as a collective unit. We love to play all kinds of music, and together our first album has the colors of punk, surf, rock-a-billy, blues, folk, and country, varying from song to song.
The process of making this record was pure joy. On day one in the studio, enthusiasm was so high we were able to lay down the basic tracks for ALL THE SONGS. Minimal overdubs were performed, and the whole thing was mixed using as much tape and analog equipment as possible. The beautiful mixing and mastering process by Peter Larkin gave the whole record a warm and punchy sound that we are all very proud of. We hope you enjoy it, we loved making it, and we love you all!
